Hard to explain something so complex in seconds, but the Web2.0Wednesday activity pushed me to try, to see what came up, how I saw the Web2.0.
Here it goes. It’s certainly an oversimplification of reality, but the essence is there.
@ Michele. You inspire us! It would have been much easier if my computer hadn’t crashed. I did it in a very simple way, using Windows Movie Maker, and then just uploaded to YouTube.
@ Angeles. I hope it’s useful for you in some way. What I liked about Michele’s idea of the Web2.0Wednesdays is the possibility for us to produce online artifacts that can help us spread the word about the Web2.0sphere.
@ Dani. Thanks! By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed your analogy with the squared watermelons in your blog.
Carla, your movie is beautiful and goes straight to the heart of the subject:the priceless human values “embedded” in web2.0. I’m inspired to do my activity now!
Ines
@ Ines. It’s great to see that my point came across the way I envisioned it. You summarized it in one sentence, and I stick now to one phrase “human values”. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
To sum up in less than the two words “human values” would be a real challenge. About all you could say is “Wow!” If webs 0.1-1.9 were about machines, then Web 2.0 is about people like Carla who pull it all together.
Please, do, José! It’s just so much fun. It keeps pushing us to think and produce something that could be valuable to us and others. Besides, you connect to amazing educators. Hope to see you there.
Thank you for this clear explanation of Web 2.0! I hope it’s OK for me to use in on my blog! I help train teachers in the use of technology for instruction, and many of them don’t know anything about Web 2.0. This is a useful introduction to the interactive concept and the benefits of Web 2.0.
I’m glad it will be useful to you and other teachers in some way. I tried to make it as simple and as visual as possible to encourage other educators to take the plunge and see it is worth it. I took a look at your blog. Great stuff there. I’m already subscribed!
Carla, this is just so awesome–and hard to believe that you both captured so much in 64 seconds and that you put it together so quickly! Amazing!
Hi Carla,
This is an amazing job as you always do.
Congratulations on the Good Work
Hugs from México

Wonderful job.
Can I say that I loved the music as much as the video?
Thanks for sharing your ideas and the flow of the world.

I’m so sad. The video won’t play. And I tried here and on youtube.
I’l come back tomorrow and give it another try.
Check it again, Illya. It seems to be working. At least, for me, here!
